Delicious Warner
Ripe Japanned Strawberry Pin Book Piece Beauty Look at this beauty, a spring and summer delight, featured on page
276 of Marcia Brown's Rhinestone Jewelry: Figurals, Animals and Whimsicals.
Dark red prong set pave
stones are crammed onto a Japanned strawberry setting, topped by graceful dark emerald green
prong set navette leaves. This jewel is 1 3/4 tall
and quite plump, the center rising about 3/4" from the pinstem. This fruit
figural is sought after by collectors everywhere, or just because it's
beautiful, and it will make him want to give you a kiss. Signed WARNER
on the back of one of the larger navettes. Excellent condition. $48
If you love vintage florals but appreciate something a
little different, this BKS blue beauty is for you. Gold tone filigree leaves
hold a large Lucite bud (no seams) with green magenta, and other shades of blue
floating inside. Another bud is represented by a faux pearl, and both are
accented by pave crystal rhinestones. This 2 1/2" jewel is heavy for
it's size, and you'll probably want to reserve it for a sweater or light jacket.
Signed (c)BSK in back, the brooch is in Very Good condition. $38
Circa 1960. Here's a great jewel to accent your sparkling
eyes and smile from daytime to casual evening. Sinuous waves of brushed gold
tone foliage looks as if it's dancing beneath sunlit water, full of sparkling
sapphire blue and emerald green chatons stuffed into polished gold tone leaf
shaped settings. The 2 7/8" brooch is also slender, 1 1/2" wide,
for easy placement and slimming lines. Signed in back TRIFARI(c) with the
crown over the T, this brooch is in Excellent condition. $64
Verified D&E. A beautiful domed leaf brooch
like this is a must for any kind of outfit from jeans to evening gown;
you will wear this over and over. Prong set marquise cut stones are set openback
in silvertone; the leaf is sprinkled with flashing chatons over the center and
ends in a double stem of rhinestone chain. Length is 2 7/8" x 1 1/2"
and this pin is chunky, rising about 7/8" from the surface. Excellent
condition. $58
Circa 1943. Here's a classic Retro Modern sterling vermeil
brooch by Coro. It is a wide, scrolling bow done in thick sterling, heavy for
its size, featuring one BIG square unfoiled emerald green glass stone. During
the shortages of WWII, American costume jewelers ran out of European stones, and
often the result was what I like to call the "one stone wonder." Jewelry
houses began to ship unfoiled stones from Brazil, many of them quite
large. This one is 3/4" in diameter and about 3/8" thick,
prong set in an open backed cup. The brooch is marked STERLING CRAFT by
Coro. The brooch measures 2 3/4" wide at the widest point. The brooch
measures 2 3/4" wide at the widest point. The gold vermeil coating is
intact; the brooch is in Excellent condition. $110
For elegant evenings, this H. Pomerantz floral
brooch will be worn over and over again to so many compliments. The diamante
deep set flowers in scalloped cups and textured silvertone leaves will draw
attention to the sparkle in your eyes, and your overall style. A big beauty,
the brooch is is 4 7/8" long and a slender, graceful 1 1/2" wide.
It's heavy enough to be recommended for a coat, or blazer, but with lighter
fabrics, it can be secured by pinning into a slip or bra strap. See the
reverse view to see the reinforced riveted construction that will ensure this
beauty will be an heirloom piece. This is a rare design; the only one I've
ever come across. You may never see this sweeping jewel offered again. Signed
in back H. Pomerantz & Co. N.Y. All rhinestones sparkle; finish is intact
and shining. Excellent condition. $125
This brooch is not lopsided, but scanned that way due to the big pointed
sapphire rivoli center!
For an extra boost of star power, this glamorous brooch
is waiting for you. Layers and layers of pink prong set marquise cut
rhinestones languish on gold tone tendrils and leaves. Another layer of siam
Aurora Borealis AB chatons vie for attention with pink and white givre glass
navettes. Yet another layer of huge, pure pink chatons and smaller AB chatons
are topped with a big blue rivoli stone, wired from the base and seeming to
float above all. The base is riveted and centered with a golden filigree. At 2
7/8" in diameter and rising a full 1" from the surface, this
sparkler covers a lot of area and is perfect for a coat, but is light enough
to wear on cottons. Excellent condition. $68
Circa 1890. A wonderful and unique sash pin
like this one does not come to market often, for collectors love these old snake
pins and tend to keep them forever. The incredible heavy brass oval base domes
upward to present an enormous amethyst glass faceted stone, unfoiled and set
openback. Hold the stone in place are two sinuously winding snakes engraved with
crosshatching, along with softly shaped and engraved lilies against the
decorated leaf & floral design base. This incredible ornament is 3 3/8"
wide by 2 1/4" tall, rising just under 1 inch from the surface. Very Good
condition; brass mounting, snakes & lilies are sound; stone has
no chips or cracks, though the finish is very tarnished with some discoloration
in back. But what an unforgettable grand jewel from Art Nouveau era!

As blue as the edge of night, this exotic floral spills
light and dark sapphire blue navettes in a curving sweep wants to go on and
on. The large navettes are prong set in serrated silvertone cups,
alongside round pressed glass chatons plump as blueberries. But that's not
enough--an extra layer of Aurora Borealis AB chatons on spokes accent as
twirling sparkles! This engaging pieces is about 3" in both directions, big
enough to splash cool and attractive color, light enough to wear on summer
fabrics. Very Good condition, with foil spotting in some of the lighter stones
which can be seen under magnification. $52
With golden leaves overlay. I've seen Weiss
jewels with these exact leaves, but DeLizza & Elster also used them, along
with mixed settings, so this great jewel has been submitted for verification.
Juliana or not, the
design house quality is obvious, with the big black prong set teardrops
and navettes, partially hidden by the golden textured leaves. Accented by Aurora Borealis
AB chatons, this 2 3/8” x 1 7/8” jewel looks larger because it rises in a
dome shape about 3/4" from the pinstem. In fact, there's enough room to
easily use this beauty as a necklace enhancer, adding pizzazz to that string of
beads. All stones are sparkling, Excellent condition. $55
Delicate
Long Navette Rhinestone Brooch with AB Margaritas SOLDThis bright brooch offers long and sensual prong set
navette rhinestones in amethyst, fuchsia and red 'leaves' with dark blue
margarita flowers that glow with purple and teal flashes. The gold tone wire
stems make this brooch light enough to wear with silk, lace, and gauzy
cottons. At 4 1/2" tall, this brooch is bound to attract compliments.
Excellent condition.
