Huge, Fabulous 1930's
Sparkling Diamante Bow Brooch The design of this rare brooch brings to mind a suave gentleman who wants to kiss you. Isn't he a dandy? This particular brooch is widely thought to be an early Eisenberg, but there is no signature and I can't find an exact duplicate in any ads or books, although there is a very similar style in Marcia Brown's Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry on page 9. The thick pot metal casting features pave chatons still striking sparks after all these years. In the center is a large teardrop set openback in the midst of chaton chain. The diamante is generally still brilliant, although some of the larger stones at the top of the bow are getting dark around the edges, but in a uniform manner adding a delightfully vintage flair. This luxurious jewel stands about 3 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" wide at the bow. Fairly heavy for it's size, plan to wear this jewel on a coat, jacket, or another sturdy material, or pin it into a second layer of material or bra strap. Overall condition is Very Good. Enjoy! $155 |

Copper studs rise from the red parts of the leaf, and acoiled copper tendril hovers over the top. New England Glassworks Large Filigree Blue Rhinestone Bow Brooch NE Glass works jewels are practically indestructible; one can usually find them in great condition even after 70-80 years! Here's an unusual offering of 1930's bow brooch constructed in tiers. The lacy dark filigree gunmetal is busy with loops, frill and beaded openwork raised flowers. It's hard to see in the images, but there's a base layer that steps up into the raised interior bow. The slender bow is 3 3/4" long and rises 3/4" above the pinstem and is set with sapphire blue oval faceted glass stones in beaded cups. Wouldn't it be jazzy to wear directly under the color of a blouse or shirtwaist, like a bow tie? Marked N/E in a chalice on the back, this brooch is in Very Good condition. $62 |

Hand Painted Forget-Me-Nots and Rosebuds on Porcelain Circa 1900. A unique arrangement of flowers is painted in a summertime bevy of beauty, with apple green grasses, blue forget-me-nots and pink rosebud against yellow and cream color glazes. Someone painted a beautiful thing for a friend; perhaps you can sense it's secret history in the old brass and heavy cool porcelain. Set in the usual 6 pronged brass setting, the brooch is equipped with an open C-clasps. Measuring 1 7/8" tall x 1 3/8" wide, the brooch is in Very Good condition, with thin gold band framing the artwork showing wear, and wear on the back of the brass setting. A beautiful antique hand painted porcelain brooch! $58

Chunky Black Beauty Rhinestone & Aurora Borealis Brooch With golden leaves overlay. I've seen Weiss jewels with these exact leaves. Big black prong set teardrops and navettes, partially hidden by the golden textured leaves, are accented by Aurora Borealis AB chatons. The 2 3/8” x 1 7/8” jewel looks larger because it rises in a dome shape about 3/4" from the pinstem. In fact, there's enough room to easily use this beauty as a necklace enhancer, adding pizzazz to that string of beads. All stones are sparkling, Excellent condition Designer quality for the price of an unsigned beauty! $48
