Though the scans of these butterfly brooches by Coro turned out with wavy streaks, the gold plating is in absolutely Excellent condition, as well as the prong-set off-white faux pearls. Each butterfly pin is 2" tall x 1 5/8" wide. Signed Coro in slanted script (no copyright mark) on the reverse, these jewels are in Excellent condition. A twin pair of Coro Butterfly brooches! $45

This style of bracelet was made by Coro during the 1950s; it comes in several color and I think it would be fun to collect them all! In this silvertone link bracelet, moonglow thermoset ovals glow with both blue and gray, and, sometimes, one color or the other depending on the light. But that's the nature of moonglow. The ovals are partially encased by crescents of crystal rhinestones. The bracelet is 1/2" wide and clasps with a foldover at 7 1/4" for a medium to medium/large wrist. This jewel is in Very Good condition; the rhinestones are very bright and sparkling when you see them with the naked eye next to the contrasting moonglow, but under a 5x loupe you can see some are yellowing. Enjoy this bracelet for $35.

For you today is this glittering Art Moderne Coro bracelet, probably made in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The band stretches on to your wrist, but will be most comfortable to wear on a small to small-medium wrist, probably up to 7" wrists. In the center of the light gold tone metal expansion band is a festive cut-out propeller motif topped by a floret or sparkling diamante rhinestones. This jewel is in unusually Excellent condition. The  photos show white or gray spots due to camera flash, there is no wear on the gold tone finish, and the piece is in Excellent condition. Signed inside Coro with the Pegasus horse!  $52

For you today we have a dark goldtone openwork brooch offering glass dabs in Jewels of India colors, a distinct style from the mid 1960s with the release of Trifari's line of  India style jewels.. The brooch features red, blue and green jelly glass cabochons in rope settings, along with smooth navettes surrounding the openwork floral center. This bold jewels rises in a dome shape about 1/2" from pin stem and is  2 3/8”  in diameter. This is a big, fairly heavy jewel and should probably be worn on medium weight fabric, or reinforced by pinning through bra strap. This high quality jewel is in Excellent condition. Coro Quivering Camellias Duette Dress Clips + Brooch in Emerald Green & Diamante

For you today, a wonderful 1938 Coro duette. It's amazing that, at 70+ years old,  this much beloved combination brooch & dress clip set survived in top condition! . This set offers the crystal baguette trembling flowers within a golden bud finding, with pave crystal leaves, green enameled leaves, and emerald green baguette ribbons. This highly collectible beauty is signed Coro Duette in script, and also had two patent numbers--patent number D110296 for the Gene Verrecchio era design, another for the clip mechanism. 

Total length as brooch is  3 1/4" wide x 1 7/8". As dress clips, each is a bit over 2 1/2" tall! Condition is Very Good, with wear on the green enamel around edges. The pave crystals on the leaves are not as bright as they used to be, but they still sparkle. There is no wear on the golden finish. Buy for yourself or give to a very special someone as a fabulous gift. $215.

This grand poinsettia brooch starts with a layer of olive green enameled leaves pointing to & fro. Then it keeps opening and opening and opening, with a whirl of dark red enameled petals, a floret of curled light goldtone petals and in the center, a burst of rhinestone stamens! The matching clip on earrings have no leaves, but a double layer of dark red petals and bursts of tiny crystal rhinestones in the center. All metal is pale goldtone; in some lights in looks like silvertone. Brooch is 2 1/2" wide and stands nearly an inch above the pin stem. The earrings are 1 1/8" and also chunky. All pieces are signed Coro in script, no copyright mark. Enjoy these lovely jewels wherever you may be this winter, for that extra color and holiday mood. Excellent condition. $48

Coro Duette with Red Jelly Cabs

An unsigned little lady of a dress clip in a late 1930s deco style of brilliant pave crystals and two prong set ruby glass ovals. Even though unsigned, you will find on the back parts two different patent numbers that were both used by Coro. First is the 1932 Pat. NO. 1852188 filed by J. Finney for George H. Fuller, and also patent no. 1798867 filed by G. Candas  in 1935. The clips are set in silvertone, but the duette mechanism appears to be rhodium plated. As brooch, this darling heirloom jewel measures 3/4" x 2".  When you separate to wear as dress clips, the clips are each 1". Excellent condition, with sound finish and sparkling stones. $85

One of Coro's high quality jewels, the swan is beautifully made in textured goldtone metal, engraved on the swans neck and tail. The swan's body is wonderful faux pearl studded openwork, and the swan has a red rhinestone eye. Though the swan is only 1 5/8" x 1 3/8", she seems larger due to her curvy dome shape, standing about 1/2" from the pinstem. Circa 1960, this beauty is signed in back (c)CORO and is in Excellent condition. $38

The colors in the scans came out too green, so here is a more accurate scan of the colors. This Vendome set is in top condition and highly collectible as a parure.  I generally avoid those satin covered beads beloved in the 1950s  because so few survive without at least some of the satin threads worn or pulling loose--but not on this set! It is in pristine condition, as if it were lain in a box and rarely, if ever, worn. The  largest of the big champagne satin covered beads are 7/8" in diameter. The aurora borealis crystals flash clear crystal,  spring green, yellow. blue, peacock and fiery pink, with colors from the environment adding and changing their sparkle as you move. The big beads and graduated sizes of  strand length make for a dramatic bib-like display. The lovely oak leaf findings are bright, wintry silvertone. The necklace clasps at a maximum of 16," with extra chain to tighten if desired. The earrings offer diamante endpins and a clip on finding with screw adjustment for your comfort. They are 1 3/8". The bracelet is 8" long, but because of the size of the beads, it clasps comfortably only for a medium to medium/large wrist. I tried it on to make certain; my wrist measures slightly less than 7 1/4", and the bracelet fits me comfortably. The Vendome signature with no  (c) mark, is found on every piece. Everything is pristine! $145

Vendome Grey Faux Pearl Earrings with Rhinestones

In this jumble of goodness by Vendome we see colors that will bring out your hair and eyes beautifully. Grey baroque pearls alongside black crystals, rhinestone roundels and very dark, almost black faux pearls, most with rhinestone end pieces. Set prettily in this arrangement are textured silvertone leaves. A wonderful set of earrings for winter. The findings are silvertone clip findings, the kind with a screw tightness adjuster. Earrings are 1 1/4" tall x 3/4" wide and are in Excellent condition. $26

She is sure to treasure this quality sterling silver brooch. Layers and layers of textured curving petals centered around a pink prong set rhinestone. The petals and curving, exquisitely textured leaves offer a golden finish. The unfinished stem is darkened sterling, giving a nice contrast with the vermeil. This heirloom beauty is  3" tall with a 1 3/8" flower head. The rose rises a full 1" from the pin back. Signed (c)Vendome on one raised bar in back and STERLING on another raised bar behind a leaf, this jewelry is in excellent condition, with no worn finish.  Weighs 15 grams. Excellent condition. $48

Think of yourself wearing is this cool, scintillating double strand glass bead necklace with anything from that little blue dress to champagne wedding lace! Two strands of winter white glass beads, frosted glass and subtly coated Aurora Borealis crystals adorn this piece by Vendome. And look at that clasp--1 1/4" long x 7/8" wide, rising in a slightly domed shape and piled high with more AB crystals and white glass beads now prong set. This confection is sprinkled with a constellation of starry clear rhinestones winking furiously. Sigh. The necklace clasps with a push in V finding at 14 5/8". Signed on hang tag Vendome, without copyright mark. This delightful '50s find is in Very good condition. $78
