Vintage Pink Glass Bead Necklace & Wire Wrap Bracelet Unsigned Beauty. This unsigned set is probably Hobe. These kinds of Hobe 1-strand necklaces were left unsigned; the bracelets came with hang tags that were, of course, removed, and only the earrings of the sets were signed. Wouldn't the earrings be fun to find? In this set, pretty faceted molded pink glass beads are painted with gold designs. The combination of the facets and the shining gold paint flash like little stars as you move, catching the light. Strung on silk with white scalloped glass roundels and golden openwork bead caps, the necklace terminates in a gold tone chain leading to a cluster of white & pink beads and a J-hook on the other end. Necklace clasps at 15 1/2" maximum and is adjustable to shorter length if you want a choker or collar. The matching wire wrap bracelet is simply luxurious, with bead clusters at both end making a nice light tap-rattle sound. Enjoy for $62 |

Harry Iskin is known for his elegant 1930s & 1940s Retro Modern Designs. Some of the jewelry is better than the markings, for instance, during the war Iskin created sterling vermeil jewelry, but not all of it is marked sterling. Also, often the gold fill is higher quality than stated. When you buy Harry Iskin jewelry that is marked only 1/20 10K GF, take it to your jeweler and have it tested! Never consider jewelry like this an expense, but an investment. |

Harry Iskin GF Floral Bracelet with Ruby Red Stones. Iskin bracelets are usually hard to find, but when they are found, the stones are always in such marvelous condition. Don't those plump red unfoiled beauties look good enough to eat? They glow so beautifully against the rose gold wash. Circa late 1930's, five 3/4" florets centered with the prong set ruby glass are linked together with gold washed streamlined links and loops. The bracelet clasps at about 7" with an old fashioned thumbless spring ring clasp, is marked in back Iskin 1/20 10K GF and is in Very Good condition. $45

Harry Iskin Classic Retro Bracelet, Brooch & Earrings Parure! Maybe my favorite Harry Iskin set for it's smart retro fan designs, laden with ruby glass stones. These are unfoiled, which is why they will never go dark! In his retro jewels, Iskin's rhinestones are almost always unfoiled. The richness of the color indicate high quality. The gold wash, yellow gold and rose gold, is intact and just lovely! This set may be from the late 1930's or early 1940s; I would have guessed post WWII if not for the thumbless spring ring on the bracelet. The bracelet clasps with at 7 3/8" and is 5/8" wide. The matching screw-on earrings are 1" x 5/8". The brooch, also with both rose and yellow gold wash, is 2 1/8" x 2". Bracelet & brooch are both marked on raised circle H.I. 1/20 12K GF. The screw-on earrings are unsigned. Everything is in Excellent condition. $85

Harry Iskin Plump Leaf Frond Sterling Bouquet Brooch This classic Iskin has been produced in so many ways during the 1940s. This one is sterling vermeil with a green-gold wash. An 8-petaled flower with a golden bead center surrounded by huge curled leaf fronds and ribbons that whirl like propellers, a motif often found in wartime retro jewelry. Dimensions are 3 1/4" tall x 2 3/4" wide, large enough to make a statement on one of those new military style jackets. Marked HI sterling, I find very little wear on the gold wash. Back still has bits of tarnish. Excellent. $58

This swinging pendant dangle necklace set will set off sparks this autumn with colors that are sure to gather compliments. You will attract all the attention as you move through the room, because these dangles are not shy--they jump and swing and make little tinkly sounds. They measure almost 2 1/4" tall and are 1 1/8" wide. The pendant hangs on a 24" chain and is fastened with classic Hollycraft antiqued foldover clasp findings. The pendant measures 4" from the bale to the end of the center dangle and is 1 3/4" wide. All pieces are signed in a rectangular frame HOLLYCRAFT. There is no copyright mark. 1960's Huge Segmented Hollycraft Ethnic Pectoral Necklace We have for you an exceptional example of classic 1960's costume jewels with this creation by Hollycraft. The necklace looks so much better in person than in the scans! The pendant clasps at 22 1/2" but has a pendant drop with extra an extra 6" in length, dropping in four articulated tiers. The top tier, not counting the small connecting pieces, is 3 1/2" wide at the top. The antiqued swirled and beaded gold tone metal open work is accented with oval glass moonstone cabochons; the contrast is breathtaking. The necklace is signed HOLLYCRAFT in block letters in a cartouche in back of the first segment. The necklace is in excellent, clean condition from chain to the lowest pendant; it is absolutely striking, bold & beautiful. $125 |

Hong Kong ~ There were many pieces of jewelry imported by Hong Kong before WWII, through the late 1940s and early 1950s, then again after the Korean war. Some of the jewelry is very nice, of at least the same quality as the Japanese and German imports. From Hong Kong, one can find many very pretty multi-strand necklaces of glass, faux pearls & art beads, some with fancy clasps, fruit & flower necklaces & bracelet sets. Whenever I find one of these nicer pieces or sets in top condition, they will be listed here. |

1950s
Hong Kong Import 3-Strand Pink Faux Pearl Necklace These 50's faux pearl necklaces with button clasps, like this one, are so endearing. Three strands in different shades of pink graduated beads swing and sway as you move. The strands hang well, none are stiff, and the faux pearls are still smooth and glowing. This is a generous, delicious necklace, clasping at 22." The push-in V box clasp is prong set with a 3/4" pink half pearl and marked Hong Kong on the gold tone finding. In the images, you'll see scratches beneath the clasp only; the necklace is otherwise Excellent. $32. |

Two 1960s India Boho Bangles SOLD There are two mosaic bangle bracelets in this lot. These types of bangles from India are fun to collect, but they're somewhat hard to find with all the beads, mirror pieces and frills intact. The bracelets are not marked, but we have had many like them with a sticker that says India. These are both heavy and well made with what appears to be painted wood although it feels like there may be a layer of ceramic. The bangles dome outward, and are each about 1/3" thick. You get a black painted bangle with golden mirror pieces, tiny pinkish brass findings, and the small donut beads. The dimensions of the black bangle are 3-1/4" outside diameter the outside and 2-1/2" inside diameter. The second, blue green bangle offers a different pattern, with mirror pieces, silvertone tiny stampings, and white donuts. Inside the blue-green bangle is a small chip in the paint. This one is slightly larger at 3 1/2" outside diameter and 2 3/4" inside. These beauties are in Very Good to Excellent condition with no missing mosaic. |

JJ Jonette
Jewelry Company produced jewelry from 1934 until 2006. The company began
as
Providence Jewelry Company, then Lisker & Lisker. After WWII, the name
was changed to Jonette Jewelry Company with the marking JJ, in a variety
of texts. Their figural and novelty pins are highly collectible, and their
vintage lines are becoming more sought after since the company
closed. Their figurals from the 1970's and 1980's are among the best; the
big pewter brooches are so thick and sturdy you can literally use them as
weapons! Some are gold plated and even sterling silver (I don't
think they ever marked it--you have to test!) They also had some interesting
modernist designs which are now very hard to find, as are the 60's - 80's
pendants and necklace sets. |

Large
Hatted JJ Openwork Lady with Faux Pearls

At 2 7/8" x 2 7/8", this imposing brooch will glint richly against almost anything you decide to wear it with; contrasts would be very nice--white, reddish colors, lavender, peach and basic black would all show boldly through the openwork. Signed (c)JJ. Excellent condition. $28 |

Sweeping JJ Gold
Plated Glamour Girl The price on this brooch is a bit higher than the usual JJ pin, because this one is scarce. I had to pay a lot for her, but have you ever seen another? A gold plated beauty from the 1980's this sweeping glamour girl holds a beautiful textured fan, and has a lightning bolt motif trailing from her sexy gown. She's a statuesque 3" tall, her slender form 1 5/8: wide. Excellent, clean condition. No gold plate markings but our tests indicate 14K gold wash or plate. $48
