Brilliant
Schoffel Ice Blue & Diamante Rhinestone Brooch & Clip Earrings
These wonderful jewels, with their combination of ice blue and clear crystal diamante are like clusters of ice, one layer atop another. I'm telling you, the ultra brilliant and scarce fires of this jewel will catch his eye from across the room and inspire him to hunt you down for a kiss! The brooch of high lead content rhinestone prong set round and marquise cuts arranged in a circular floral & leaf pattern is 1 3/4" in diameter but seems bigger, for the chunks are piled so high the brooch sits more than 1/2" above the pin assembly. The matching earrings are 1 1/4" tall and have folded curved clips which are very comfortable. Only the brooch is marked, with the three part crown logo. Excellent condition. $78

Rare;
Fabulous Copper & Confetti Lucite Set Jewelry like this set has been quietly disappearing from the market, but even so, have you ever seen a bracelet and slide pendant necklace like these? This weird & wonderful unsigned set is attributed to Selro and verified by the owner of the Selro Selini page, and expert in this designer. The style of bolo or slide necklace, including the decorated clasp is identical to other Selro pieces. The bracelet style is much more rare, but I have seen another piece with these long confetti Lucite cabs, as well as a copper set. The copper settings are set with thick dark gray-green Lucite rectangles with masses of multicolor glitter inside. The dark gray green is reminiscent of dark tidepools with glowing shells sparkling from the bottom. I've held onto this set for a long time, but its now available to whomever appreciates it as much as I do. The bracelet is enormous at a full 2 1/2" wide. It clasps at 7" for a medium wrist, but keep in mind the width; it is a bit snug on my medium wrist. On the necklace, the 2 1/2" slide is 1 1/4" wide; the dangles are 7/8". One side of the distinctive Selro is 12"; the other is 11" and of course you can adjust the slide to any length within 23" total. These scarce & unique jewels have spots of tarnish in the usual places. Very Good condition. $155

|
Unique Siam Sterling Neilloware Bracelet The unusual design of this wide bracelet is very scarce. Each link is a leaf shape, complete with silvery veins and the dancer ( Mekala, goddess of lightning?) holding a snake in 2 of the links, and in other links her hands drop pretty sparkles from a bowl, and in other links, star-like sparkles come from her hand. The bracelet is wider than usual at 1 1/2" wide, but it clasps with a push in V-clasp at only 6 1/2", so this is for a small to slender- medium wrist. The enamel is perfect; there is a bit of tarnish on one side of the clasp, but the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed SIAM STERLING on the clasp. A one-of-a-kind beauty, a must for the collector of beautiful sterling jewels. $68

| Steiner, Ernest ~ Scarce designer, made jewelry during the 1940's. | |||||
|
Very Scarce Vintage Retro Dress Clip by Ernest Steiner This early 1940's ribbon spray is unsigned, but has the design patent number 105034 located inside one of the ribbon loops. A lookup of this Ernest Steiner patent shows that this clip, designed by Ernest Steiner (Steiner of New York) is a variation of the design in the drawing, with the same ribbon but teardrop rhinestones on the ends of the spray rather than round stones. Variations on patents were common with many designers, including Trifari and Coro. This clip is unusual and beautifully designed with the multicolor teardrop stones prong set set openback. The metal tested as having some silver content, and the golden finish is a gold tone alloy. It measures 2 1/2" by 1 1/2". Condition is Very Good ++, with wear of finish only on the textured clip mechanism. An elegant, rare clip to add to your collection. $85

| Tara: There are at least two different sources of jewels marked Tara; one produced Celtic style jewelry. The other marked Tara may be associated with the mysterious Pam jewelry mark. Very
Scarce Vogue Belts Enameled & Bedazzled Floral Shoulder Brooch
Grandma might have worn this lovely piece of costume jewelry to do her holiday shopping or to wear for Thanksgiving dinner. This layered post metal floral is actually upside down in the gallery picture, it is meant to be won on the shoulder of a coat or jacket with the flowerhead downward accentuating your shoulder, neckline and bustline, and bringing some color and sparkle near your face. See reverse photos for the position of the pin assembly. This late 30's to early '40's beauty has survived with most of all of it's red and most of it's white enamel intact. And the pave clear rhinestones are still flashing their happy stardust. The brooch is 3 1/4" tall x 2" wide and has a rare signature in back: Vogue Belt Chicago. Very Good condition. $125

Weiss Ravishing Reds AB Brooch & Earrings Set You'll be the starfire of summer evenings or radiate the warmest of festive feeling in the room during holiday gatherings in the fabulous vintage Weiss brooch & clip earring set. Long red slender navettes seem to burst out from radiant whirls and layers of Aurora Borealis fat prong set navettes and chatons. The AB navettes vibrate with both red and green--this doesn't show well on the scans, but with the set right in front of me it's very hard to say what color these beautiful stones are actually called but the hearts are red and the tops a vibrant green. They also flash purple sometimes. All of these beauties are prong set into a smooth golden finding. The 2 1/2" brooch is signed WEISS on an applied oval, the 1 1/2" earrings are signed on the clips. Everything is in excellent condition. $135 |

Weiss Crystal Rhinestone Fringe
Swag Necklace with Added Earrings Weiss made many rhodium plated clear crystal rhinestone necklaces throughout the 1950's. Here's one of their many sparklers created during this era, a combination of prong set clear chatons with pear shaped stones, the double rhinestone chain separating and looped in little swags set along a centerpiece of prong set chatons and teardrops. The necklace is 1 1/8" wide at the centerpiece and claps at a maximum of 15 3/4" with an adjustable J hook, so you can fasten more tightly if desired, letting the brilliant rhinestone chain trail down the back of your neck like a little waterfall of diamonds! He will not be able to stop looking at you! The necklace is signed WEISS without the copyright mark in back of the endstone. The voluptuous clip back earrings are not signed and may not even be Weiss, but the shade and size of stones and rhodium finish match the necklace exactly. They are prettily designed, with little trails of pave rhinestone "icing" curving over plump sparkling teardrops set in half-prong cups. The Weiss necklace is in Excellent condition; and the added crystal earrings are Very Good, with finish wear in back that can be seen only under magnification. All stones are equally bright and sparkling. $88 |

Early Weiss Faux Baroque Pearls & Amber Topaz Rhinestones & Leaves
Weiss began production in 1947, and this post-retro spray of late 40s to early 1950's is scarce example of the kinds of styles were considered especially elegant. A bit Haskellesque, isn't it? Since real beauty is timeless, this set will do nicely with a wide range of dress, limited only by your imagination. From a lapel brooch to work, to late afternoon shopping, the pin the brooch into your décolletage--guaranteed his eyes will be wandering there until he gets you home! The the long golden taupe faux baroque pearl drops almost match the glowing golden tulip cups that hold them on golden wires. Textured leaves bundles with prong set topaz rhinestones in round and navette form, all riveted to a filigree in back. The earrings have the same prong set topaz or amber colored navettes and chatons with a beautiful double leaf overlay; the textures are just delightful and the patina of the goldtone metal is deep, rich and glowing. In this set, only the earrings are signed WEISS in block letters, no copyright marks. Measuring 2 1/4" x 2" with 1 5/8" earrings, these jewels are in Excellent, clean condition; they almost look as if never worn. $125

Rare Weiss Painted Enamel Egg Brooch
In years of buying costume jewelry, I have seen only one other enameled egg by Weiss; it was pink and it was already sold. This is a rare pin, probably made in the late 1960's, just before Weiss closed its doors. Weiss made a some highly collectible enameled pieces during those years, some of which are now being counterfeited; real ones, except for some of the enameled flower power pins, are all fairly hard to find. This one does have a textured back; but the texture is different from the kind found on the counterfeits. The basic color is red, crossed on the diagonal with gold tone lines, making diamond motifs in which white flowers with green foliage are enameled. This unique brooch measures 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/2 wide" and stands 3/4" high from the surface. There is a small amount of wear to the enamel that can be seen with a loupe but nothing substantial. Very Good condition. Signed (c)Weiss in an oval in back. $135 |

Elaborate
Whiting & Davis Large Cross Pendant
This gorgeous Etruscan-style cross is partially covered by a sterling vermeil openwork decoration. There is no wear at all to the gold finish. There are no sterling marks on the decoration, probably because we can't see underneath it, but it did test as sterling vermeil. In the center of this vermeil openwork fixture is a 15mm citrine or light topaz colored rhinestone. The base cross has a shining gold tone finish, which has some very minor fleabites/ wear on the back. The cross measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" with cross bars over 1/2" wide. The Singapore-style chain is 30" long with sturdy spring ring clasp. The 'Whiting Davis' signature is found on the oval hangtag. The necklace is in very good, clean condition. #N950 $65.00
