Kramer Chrome & Lapis Glass 1960's Articulated Pendant Here's a scarce contribution from Kramer to the original swinging 60's, the age of the biggest medallions and enormous articulated pendants. This one seems to have a bit of Asian chic designed into the Pagoda look bars, but also modernistic, with the chrome colored metal and the flat square lapis blue glass cabs. Everything on the pendant is segmented with silvertone chain, the last blue cab dangling like a dancing delight, oh how this will sway as you move. And, of course, go between the breasts, which is always a guarantee that you will drive him wild! The pendant itself is 5 1/2" long and about 2 1/2" wide; the silvertone chain is has an adjustable J-hook, and clasps at a maximum of 23", but you can adjust it easily for size. Signed KRAMER on a raised oval three times on the pendant. This one is not likely to come up again; if you're a collector or lover of period jewelry like this, better buy it now! $88 |

Swoboda Huge Jade Pendant Necklace This signed Swoboda necklace is such a fabulous example of 1960's & '70s big articulated pendants that it can only enhance your collection and the dramatic look that gets you noticed. Large thin crescent moon and heart shaped slices of spinach jade bound in textured gold plated bezels will be unrivaled anywhere you take this. Glass Pearl Hand Knotted Double Strand Necklace with Faux Coral Clasp. Jewelry like this is very hard to find these days, but ever gal should at least one set of hand-knotted glass faux pearls with a fancy clasp! These have to be among the best vintage glass pearls from Japan. The champagne pearls, look real, even giving the impression of being irregular, and they have that warm, almost pink glow that appears to come from within. Both strands, one slightly longer than the other, attach to a 1 1/4" antiqued goldtone filigree V-push clasp set with a molded floral faux coral that appears to be some kind of ceramic; the back is scratchy. The clasp is marked JAPAN. This necklace clasps at 22 1/2" and hangs beautifully. I could not find peeling pearls not matter how hard I looked. This piece is in excellent condition. $68

Red Glass Beads Torsade Set with Rhinestone Clasp
This lovely 1960's creation came with a hang tag, but a green set just like it is shown in Roeann Ettinger's POPULAR JEWELRY OF THE '60S, '70'S & '80S as Valjean. Many strands of tiny glassbeads are very dark red, almost maroon, and sparkle beautifully clasped with an ornate gold tone textured floral and leaves centered with red rhinestones. The clasp is a hook and loop style; see the photos which show how it works. matching clip back earrings with darkened brass findings complete the set. The necklace clasps at 27" for that sexy elongated look. The color with it's dark cast will blend nicely with so many of your fall and winter holiday outfits, as well as bring red to enhance a clear glow to your complexion. HUGE Rhodium Plated Anchor
Pendant Necklace with Big Rhinestones Circa 1970, when the look of molten metal came briefly in style. At least this piece is shaped like something--a huge anchor, which is studded with a variety of shapes, colors and sizes of glued-in rhinestones. I believe this may have been a Jewel Creations piece, but I no longer have the catalog photo pages to prove it. The pendant, not counting the bale, is 3 7/8" long and 3 3/8" wide at the widest point, and hangs on a 24" silvertone chain with spring ring clasp. Excellent condition. $58

Brilliant Sarah Coventry
Starburst Maltese Cross Pendant Necklace Sarah Coventry could be counted on to contribute her share of Maltese cross styles that reigned throughout the swinging 1960's, and Starburst is a design that should be in the Maltese Cross Hall of Fame. In this fabulous interpretation, amber-topaz and champagne rhinestones flash like fire from a golden "diamond dust" finish. These stones are are extremely clear and bright, twinkling like stars from their cups within the openwork base. This is a substantial, quality piece, with good heft. Goldette Owl in Goldtone with Big Topaz Brown Eyes
Take this wriggly pal with you wherever you go, another version of Goldette's owls in textured goldtone with articulated rows of feathers totaling 4 segments, including his cute but wise head. Big round flashing eyes are topaz brown set in the midst of a sunburst design to make a happy morning. The pendant is 4" tall including bail, and 2 1/2" wide at the widest part. The 21" chain has a hook clasp so you can adjust it to just where you like the pendant. Signed Goldette on the back of the pendant. Condition is Excellent, with absolutely no foil loss on the cabs and no plating loss. $45 |

Floral Rhinestone Sweetheart Sparkler Necklace This 1950's creation is much different than the usual prom queen offerings with it's centerpiece of 3 medallions set in silver colored metal. The medallions at either side offer "black diamond" rhinestones alternating with crystal aurora borealis rhinestones in flower cups with an AB rosette in the center. The concave structure adds variety and depth of sparkle. The central medallion is the opposite--dome shaped with one layer a round of stones similar to black diamonds, but with a very slight hint of dusky green. These alternate with smaller crystal ABs, but on top is a floweret of still more crystal ABs flashing pinks, pale coral, green and yellow lights. The arrangement is unique and very sparkly with high quality stones. Each medallion is 1" in diameter; the necklace clasps at a maximum of 16 1/4" princess length, but you can use the adjustable J hook and chain to wear it as a choker or collar. Large Egyptian Revival Pendant Necklace Signed Art SOLD Here's a beautiful ethnic style pendant from the 1970's right in time for King Tut's world tour. It is made with two different metals, with a pewter pharaoh head topped by a winged scarab. Notice the wonderful Egyptian symbols and other details. The gold tone base piece is has a different design, with openwork feathers and perhaps stylized wings, with raised and recessed areas along with beaded-look textures and openwork. Pendant length is 3 5/8" tall x 2 5/5" wide; the gold tone chain is 24". The pendant is signed in back ART(c). Excellent, clean condition.

Incredible Clear Crystal BIG Rhinestone Swag Necklace SOLD If you are one of those well-bejeweled women who appreciate the beauty and versatility of diamante, this is the necklace for you! Although unsigned; it's probably a designer piece, and looking at the little jewel on the J-hook makes me believe it could be Weiss. But plenty of great designers made gorgeous prong set rhinestone jewelry in the 1950's; so it's impossible to tell who did what without seeing the exact piece in an ad or book. The centerpiece on this beauty is 5 inches wide and swings low in the middle, to settle right into the collarbone area on most women. Three enormous flashing crystals hang from the chain joined together by swags of chatons and cushion rectangles. The stones, all prong set, are clearly the best because they sparkle like little galaxies. You can see a few of the smaller stones are beginning to age, but only if you're looking for them! This fine beauty is a total delight. Wear on special occasions to make an entrance worthy of a queen. Very Good+ condition. |

Vintage Cameo of Diana The Huntress Brooch
Pendant Necklace SOLD Molded resin cameos were very popular during the 1960's and have experienced a surge of interest once more in the last few years. This is one of the prettier pieces, in my opinion. The goddess Diana in ivory color lets her sweeping skirts blow in the wind as she follows the hunt with her hound by her side and bow ready. The background is a lovely pale salmon pink, set in an antiqued gold tone filigree frame. Dimensions of the cameo and frame are 2" tall x 1 1/2". This lovely jewel is equipped with a safety clasp to wear as a brooch, and also with a pendant hook with an added 18" chain. Excellent condition. |
