Pretty 1960's Cleopatra Fringe Necklace & Earrings This pretty fringe necklace set was surely made during the fad for all things Cleopatra that was sparkled by the 1963 movie with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. My mom had one of these, but the beads were coral and turquoise colored. Here we have a textured golden series of another popular motif, a kind of twisted horn with a bead at the top, chained one after the other with drops of turquoise beads, bluish faux pearls decorated with lacy green designs, and blue Lucite speckled leaves. This is a good substantial piece, heavy for it's size. The necklace is 1 1/2" wide from top to bottom of fringe, clasping at a maximum of 16 1/2" with J-hook adjustable chain. The matching clip back dangling earrings are 1 1/2" long. Very good + condition, with the most minor wear on beads in the end chain. enjoy for $68 |

Weiss Crystal Rhinestone Fringe Necklace with Added Earrings Weiss made many rhodium plated clear crystal rhinestone necklaces throughout the 1950's. Here's one of their many sparklers created during this era, a combination of prong set clear chatons with pear shaped stones, the double rhinestone chain separating and looped in little swags set along a centerpiece of prong set chatons and teardrops. The necklace is 1 1/8" wide at the centerpiece and claps at a maximum of 15 3/4" with an adjustable J hook, so you can fasten more tightly if desired, letting the brilliant rhinestone chain trail down the back of your neck like a little waterfall of diamonds! He will not be able to stop looking at you! The necklace is signed WEISS without the copyright mark in back of the endstone. The voluptuous clip back earrings are not signed and may not even be Weiss, but the shade and size of stones and rhodium finish match the necklace exactly. They are prettily designed, with little trails of pave rhinestone "icing" curving over plump sparkling teardrops set in half-prong cups. The Weiss necklace is in Excellent condition; and the added crystal earrings are Very Good, with finish wear in back that can be seen only under magnification. All stones are equally bright and sparkling. $88 |

Hollycraft Pink, Purple & Green Rhinestone Dangling Pendant Necklace and Earrings. This swinging pendant dangle necklace set will set off sparks this autumn with colors that are sure to gather compliments. You will attract all the attention as you move through the room, because these dangles are not shy--they jump and swing and make little tinkly sounds. The antiqued golden beaded openwork repeats a scallop motif, studded with pink, purple and green rhinestones. The clip on earrings have a Renaissance flair and swing like crazy. Coro Confetti Lucite Peter Pan Necklace Set Someone--you perhaps?--will have loads of fun in this necklace. The upside-down triangles give the necklace that wild Peter Pan look. Small pieces of golden foil are embedded in clear Lucite inserts with a pale buttercup yellow base. The fitting is smooth gold tone. Matching clip on earrings add their razzle dazzle to attract attention to your smile and to bring a spark to your eyes. And, well....his eyes too! Necklace measures 16 3/4" maximum clasping length with plenty of chain for adjustment to choker or even collar size. Sparkling Springtime Pastel Rhinestone Necklace Parure. You will have an enchanted Springtime in this lovely Coro rhinestone parure featuring flowers and foliage. The necklace runs like a vine across the centerpiece, loaded with purple, pink, yellow, green & blue rhinestones all set in half prongs within gold tone findings. The brooch is a a graceful, undulating rush of flowers, and the clip back earrings are little nosegays. These jewels may be in an ad somewhere, and I will try to find out the name of the set. The brooch is shown in diamante in Fred Rezazadeh's book, COSTUME JEWELRY. We also feature the brooch in ruby red here. Necklace clasps at a maximum of 16" but is adjustable for choker length; the brooch is 2" x 2 1/4"; the clip back earrings are 1". Fantastic
Enameled Copper Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings Set. An unsigned beauty, this joyful set almost didn't make it to the listings, I so wanted to keep it. The colors are just perfect for redheads, and the polychrome enamels will accent almost any eye color. This well-made piece offers square copper links, rounded at the corners. Riveted to each link are enameled plaques of different shapes--square, oval, round, and hearts! The colors of the enamels on the ovals are silver with spatters of black, white and red. On hearts we have red with pale green, golden & white spatter accents. The other colors are gold with orange and black accents and green with red & white.

Style Faux Pearl Necklace Set This fabulous set appears to be 1960s ethnic or "jewels of India" style jewelry. Very high quality but unsigned, these jewels are similar to Kenneth Lane designs with the middle-east style. Three strands of immaculate off-white faux pearls connect to a medallion of textured, granulated matte gold metal. The 2" medallion is dome shaped and studded with faux pearls, clear rhinestones and red, green & blue enamel teardrops. The push in V-clasp is decorated with rhinestones, and the matching 1 3/8" clip back earrings have padded clips for maximum comfort. All the jewelry is in excellent, gift quality condition. The moonglow inserts are quite a bit darker than the scan
portrays. The blues are more of a deep teal and the green is much greener.

Each link features a delightful red fantasy fruit in smooth gold tone with beaded golden pit and a textured leaf. The J-hook clasp will adjust from dog collar or choker lenth up to 16 1/2" long and 1" wide. The matching screw-on earrings are 3/4" x 1 1/8". On the back of the necklace, two links have mild wear to the smoothness of the gold tone, but no chipping, and the wear doesn't go all the way through to the base metal. Otherwise Excellent. $95.

W. Germany Aluminum (Eloxal) Fan Motif Necklace Set
You can often expect West Germany costume jewelry to be among the most unusual and innovative. Here's a very cool, light weight aluminum set, although the trade name is Eloxal, which is an aluminum alloy used in Western German to make costume jewelry. The crenellated fan shaped links are textured and set with very brilliant pink & yellow AB aurora borealis rhinestone chatons. The matching earrings are clip back. The adjustable length necklace clasps at a maximum of 17" with a J hook and chain. Each fan shaped link, as well as the matching clip back earrings are 1 1/2" x nearly 7/8". The necklace is not signed, but the earrings are signed WGermany on the clips. Condition is Very Good to Excellent. $42

Big pink seamed plastic floral beads are great contrasts with two tone purple & red, plus clear pink and lavender glass beads, all chained together rosary style with brass. Necklace clasps at a maximum of 17 generous inches, but you can tighten for a choker length if desired. The matching clip on dangle earrings are a jumble of the same beads, a very plump and showy 1 1/2" dangle. All pieces are signed "Western Germany," and are in Excellent condition, possibly being never worn; I received the earring still on the card and there's not a speck of wear on the J-hook of the necklace. |
