Ravishing Austria Blue & AB Rhinestone Brooch

This brooch is as gorgeous as a spring evening. Dark and medium sapphire chatons, baguettes and a single teardrop surround aurora borealis crystals as pale green as young foliage with spark of gold, pink, purple and blue from the shining silvertone finish. What a dream of a brooch, and a good size at 2 1/2" x 2 3/8". All stones are prong set. The brooch is marked in back, AUSTRIA, and in excellent condition. $50

Signed Capri Black Glass Flower Brooch

You'll love this 1960s black flower power brooch. Each black beveled glass petal shaped stone measures 7/8" long. The five unfoiled petals are set in slender ropes of golden metal and form the slightly concave lower layer of this well made, gleaming jet black jewel. A faceted round jet black rhinestones sits in a bezel on top. The brooch has a good heft. It measures 2" on all sides, is signed Capri (no (c) mark) in script on the back, and is in Excellent condition. $28

The colors in the scans came out more intense than the actual brooch colors. The art glass melon shaped navettes are pale, ice blue, accented by light blue chatons.

Lisner Ice Blue Art Glass Brooch ~ Ad Piece

This ice blue art glass brooch by Lisner is a great find; the brooch is featured in this 1958 Lisner advertisement featuring the beloved set called Garden Party. The ad describes the set as "Petals that look like moonstones, touched with the sparkle of far-away stars." The brooch is ice blue molded art glass decorated with light blue, sparkling rhinestones in silvertone setting. Wouldn't it be fun to collect the rest of this set? The 2 1/4" brooch is in Very Good condition, with mild wear. Enjoy for $38

Limoges Hand Painted Porcelain Roses Floral Brooch

It would be hard to find another Limoges brooch like this one, which is all enamel and hand painted, with no transfer. I have looked very closely, and even the green leaves have raised paints. The flower portrait, with a background of pink glazes and red scalloped border, appears to be a wild rose surrounded by multicolored daisies and forget-me-nots and raised white dots on all. The porcelain oval is bezel set into the standard 1940s brass twisted rope frame and fastened with a trombone clasp. The brooch is 2 1/4" tall x 1 3/4" wide. Very Good+ condition. Marked in red letters on the back, Made in France, Limoges. $68
