Vintage Emmons AUTUMN HAZE Amber and Green Jelly Maltese Cross PinHere's a pretty little Maltese Cross brooch, very popular in the late 1950s and 1960's. Signed Emmons, the cross displays simulated amber cabochons. The inner part is an arrangement of faux pearls centered with a pine green jelly cabochon. Probably the plastic cabs are Lucite; I can find no evidence of seams. The cabs are unfoiled and set openback in a textured light gold tone finding. This delightful jewel, perfect for redheads, measures 1 1/2" on all sides and is in Very Good condition, with a bit of wear on a small portion of golden finish in back. $28 |

Unique
Swing Time H. Pomerantz Dangling Brooch
RARE. Oh, the drama! Because of the wooden beads I thought this brooch might date back to the 1930s, but combining of gilded and silvertone metals, as this brooch offers, is a style popular in the 1940s. The wooden beads are painted vibrant colors; blue, brown and green with golden, blue, orange, red & yellow swirls, flowers and other decorations. Two of the beads have additional painted decorations applied to resemble trail lampwork. The central beads are caged, one in a silvertone nouveau-esque design, the lower beads in a gilded modernist style cage. aging the beads. Dangling below are goldtone tassels. I found no damage of any kind on this 5 5/8" tall x 2 3/4" wide beauty. Excellent condition. $125

Harry
Iskin Gold Filled Brooch with Purple Stones
What a beauty. The way this brooch is shaped, with the leaf fronds curled down & flowers turned sideways as if to look up to the sun is unusual, but not the great Iskin quality. Like many other WWII retro jewels, while this brooch is not marked sterling, our tests show the metal is between 500 and 800 silver, and filled with 10k yellow and rose gold. The two purple stones glow like real gemstones from their prong double-decker floral settings. Brooch is a good size at 3" x 3" and has the standard Harry Iskin mark, with the 'I' imposed over the 'H' along with the terms "1/20 10K". Excellent condition, in spite of spots of tarnish in back. $55 |
