WMCA jewels, made by White Metal Casters Association, are somewhat hard to find these days; the company made white metal jewelry during the Art Deco era. Here's a long, narrow dress clip with a bow knot from which a ribbon loops and bias cut  ribbon ends cascade.  The back is pot metal that is still shining and clean! The pastes are aging with yellowing,, which is not seen clearly in the enlargements. Still, an unusual historical piece that still strikes sparks! Signed WMCA in back along with number 8 and letter R.  The clip is 3" tall x 3/4" wide. Enjoy. $24

Coro Quivering Camellias Duette Dress Clips + Brooch in Emerald Green & Diamante

For you today, a wonderful Coro duette with a design patent of 1938.  It's amazing that, at 70+ years old,  this much beloved combination brooch & dress clip set survived in top condition! . This set offers the crystal baguette trembling flowers within a golden bud finding, with pave crystal leaves, green enameled leaves, and emerald green baguette ribbons. This highly collectible beauty is signed Coro Duette in script, and also had two patent numbers--patent number D110296 for the Gene Verrecchio era design, another for the clip mechanism. 

Total length as brooch is  3 1/4" wide x 1 7/8". As dress clips, each is a bit over 2 1/2" tall! Condition is Very Good, with wear on the green enamel around edges. The pave crystals on the leaves are not as bright as they used to be, but they still sparkle. There is no wear on the golden finish. Buy for yourself or give to a very special someone as a fabulous gift. $215.

Coro Duette with Red Jelly Cabs

An unsigned little lady of a dress clip in a circa 1940s deco style of brilliant pave crystals and two prong set ruby glass ovals. Even though unsigned, you will find on the back parts two different patent numbers that were both used by Coro. First is the 1932 Pat. NO. 1852188 filed by J. Finney for George H. Fuller, and also patent no. 1798867 filed by G. Candas  in 1935. The clips are set in silvertone, but the duette mechanism appears to be rhodium plated. As brooch, this darling heirloom jewel measures 3/4" x 2".  When you separate to wear as dress clips, the clips are each 1". Excellent condition, with sound finish and sparkling stones. $85

Here is a rare dress clip from New England Glass Works, a company that made, besides world famous glassware, a line of jewelry during the 1930s. Here is a wonderful rare example, with gem colored glass cabochons- coral, turquoise, jade and dark lapis blue--set in an an antiqued silvertone beaded openwork setting. The brass hinged clip attachment is sturdy and tight. This 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" jewel is in Very Good condition, with no chips or cracks in the glass, or other problems. Signed in in back with their mark, NE inside a chalice. $60

You can always count on high quality rhinestones in H. Pomerantz jewelry, and this large brooch is no exception; the high quality sapphire blue pastes seem to have the secret of eternal youth-- as dazzling as if they weren't 70 years old. The larger stones are unfoiled and prong set openback into the antique silver look beaded filigree dome shaped metal frame; the smaller chatons add small sparkles from tiny cups. The oval porcelain is prong set in a beaded setting. The romantic scene is a transfer which is embellished with hand painted accents . At 3 " tall and 2 3/8" wide, the dome shaped brooch rises about 1/2" from the sturdy clip. Signed in back H. Pomerantz Inc. N.Y. Very Good condition. Enjoy for $85

This well made and colorful 1930s clip gleams with rich pink and sapphire blue round cabs at top and bottom, along with large oval sapphire blue, emerald green and ruby red rhinestones in serrated bezels. These are accented by small multicolor chatons still sparkling in elaborate dark metal filigree. The beaded floral openwork design is convex, rising in a partial dome above the clip mechanism. This wonderful old jewel is 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Marked N/E in a chalice, the signature of New England Glass Company jewels. Excellent condition! $48.

This colorful dress clip is from the early 1930s--note the large old Bohemian cut, (pyramid top) ovals in unusual colors--red & green. It is a combination of Art Deco and Victorian motifs, with the geometric open metalwork designs alternating with the large--16mm--glass stones. Yet below is an openwork Victorian style tulip & bead design. The base metal is gilded, with wear in back. This lovely clip is 1 7/8" tall x 1 1/2" and in Very Good condition. $38

Austro-Hungarian Revival Large Girandole Dress Clip

We have for your consideration this rare, elaborate dress clip. Because of the design, the variety of simulated stones, the faux pearls and the little white enameled flowers, we are certain that this was made during a revival of the old Austro-Hungarian jewels, probably circa 1930, a time when other, large Victorian revival jewelry was popular. Please examine the larger picture so you can see all the detail. Gilded brass filigree offers channel set rose cut faux sapphires and faux amethysts, alongside ruby colored chatons. Added are turquoise and coral colored beads, prong set in little flower cups. The metal work, fully engraved with small designs builds up with applied layers to a jeweled medieval style cross in the center, flanked by baby tooth faux peals. The girandole dangles offer grace and movement. This fabulous dress clip comes with what I believe are all the original stones. A few have darkened with age, but most are still brilliant with inner glow.

The jewel is quite large at 3 3/4" tall x 2 1/8" at the widest point. Condition is amazingly very good, with a bit of wear in the gilding at high points. Invest in and enjoy this incredible clip today.$265

H. Pomerantz Antique Celtic Knight Belt & Buckle

Circa 1890s. Although most of us have seen this well known H. Pomerantz buckle, it's very unusual find the entire belt intact. I have seen a photo of another H. Pomerantz warrior buckle--a Samurai. Perhaps H. Pomerantz made an entire line of warrior belts. If so, it would be quite a challenge to collect them all.

The 3" x 2" buckle is of shining silvertone and gilded openwork stamped with clovers, vines, & various textures. There are also applied metal embellishments, including the centerpiece bearded Celtic knight, his armor designed in a convex cross shape. He rises about 1/2" high; at first I thought it might open, locket style, but there are no hinges. The belt itself is made of a remarkable gold tone flexible tank-track style engraved linkage, about 1 inch wide. The belt clasps at 28-30." The buckle can be removed of course, to add to another belt if desired. Belt and buckle are both in Very Good condition; there's a bit minor wear on the gilding showing through silvertone. The blackish color is tarnish on the back of the buckle and in depressions. Marked H.POMERANTZ & CO. N.Y. $95.00
